Outdated Business Mentality

As an ambitious student and entrepreneur, I have come across many companies that seem to be untraditional, yet highly successful. Initially, I thought I had caught onto something, however, after reading the book Lean Startup it all started to click.

The traditional business mentality states that you would have to create an amazing bug-free perfect product before you deploy it and then upgrade your product with the suggestions from your customers. However, who knew that if you do the exact opposite of this you would be able to design a winner product.

As I started diving into the Lean Startup, the ideas of how to go about starting a company had made more practical sense. The whole idea is that a startup has a massive degree of uncertainty-who exactly is the customer and even what their product should be. With this uncertainty, it gets harder to predict the future and plan accordingly.

In the next few blogs, I’m going to start breaking down the author’s mindset and strategy and how it is relevant in today’s entrepreneurial society.
